- Athletic Director
Description
Bishop Ireton High School seeks a full time dynamic, mission-driven Athletic Director to lead and grow its interscholastic athletic program. The Athletic Director serves as a key member of the school’s leadership team, responsible for fostering a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and faith formation through athletics.
Bishop Ireton is a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school (grades 9-12) in the Diocese of Arlington and historic Alexandria, Virginia. It began its proud heritage of academic excellence and rich 62-year athletic history in 1964. With 950 students, the school offers a challenging academic environment and outstanding quality of life, with a three-tiered focus on STEM, Humanities and Fine Arts. The spirit of community service and giving back is central to the school’s mission. Bishop Ireton’s quality is reflected in its distinguished faculty and staff, who take great pride in seeing every graduate head to college - often to the most prestigious universities and service academies. Bishop Ireton is a proud member of the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC).
The role of athletic director requires a visionary leader who understands the vital role athletics plays in the holistic development of student-athletes—mind, body, and spirit—and who is committed to advancing a program rooted in Catholic values and the Salesian tradition of St. Francis de Sales.
